10th Ave S Bridge Over Midtown Greenway

The bridge closed to motor vehicles in December 2021, due to structural concerns. Since then, Minneapolis Public Works have been reviewing ways to improve the bridge for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicle traffic. This bridge is a contributing resource to the Midtown Greenway historic corridor. Therefore, Public Works is working with state agencies to understand the impact the bridge has on the surrounding area, which has influenced the construction timeline. We currently anticipate construction to begin in late 2025 with completion in 2026.
