Welcoming Week 2025

The City of Minneapolis is celebrating Welcoming Week September 12 - 21, 2025.

During Welcoming Week, the City of Minneapolis will:

• Connect neighbors of all backgrounds

• Create welcoming spaces

• Share information and resources about becoming a US citizen

As part of Welcoming Week, the City of Minneapolis is hosting a litter pick-up on Friday, September 12, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. This is a volunteer service project to pick up litter together near E Lake Street and Hiawatha Ave. The event will wrap with a celebration at noon including refreshments and light snacks.
