Since then, she has built a portfolio of artwork that she sells online, at markets and conventions, and she has also created illustrations for publications, exhibitions, and clients. About the Artist - Taylor Burks
wndowndow is the live visual art project of southside Minneapolis resident Taylor Burks. Started in 2016, featuring digital 2d animations of ink on paper drawings. The animations were mixed together and performed live as background visuals for DJ acts and bands in the midwest and beyond. Notable performances include Burning Man, Harmony Park, First Avenue and the Armory.
The drawings and characters are all pieces of a story that was meant to be presented together to tell a "Fool's Journey" esque tale to accompany the musical act. The main character CTHU, a character based on Hunter S Thompson's monster "Cthulhu", meets several teachers along his path who help unlock a deeper understanding of who he is and his purpose. The lessons often coincide with the colors and teachings of the Chakra system.
Currently, you can catch Taylor's new DJ/Production project, "wndow" at events thrown by the DIY Sound System collective "Caravan Sound System".
