MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (November 13, 2025) Today, the Lake Street Council announced the return of its annual Lake Street Loyalty Challenge, encouraging shoppers to support local small businesses and nonprofits along Lake Street during the holiday season. The challenge will begin this Saturday, Nov. 15, and end Monday, Dec. 15.

Originally launched in 2021, the Lake Street Loyalty Challenge rewards those who shop locally along the vibrant Minneapolis corridor. From gift shops to bookstores, restaurants, and clothing boutiques, Lake Street is home to hundreds of businesses that make it a special place to explore. More than 1,000 people have participated in the holiday season program since 2021.

This year’s program is expanding its reach to include businesses along Hennepin Ave. in Uptown from 34th St. to Franklin Ave., four blocks beyond what is considered the Lake Street corridor. Donations to area nonprofits will also qualify, including contributions made on Give to Max Day.

To participate, people who spend $25 or more at a qualifying business or nonprofit between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15 can upload their receipt at lakestreetloyalty.com and automatically receive a $15 gift card to one of the following businesses: Eat Street Crossing, Moona Moono, Midtown Global Market, Sonora Grill, or Uncle Hugo’s Science Fiction & Uncle Edgar’s Mystery Bookstore. Participants will also be entered to win a grand prize pack of gift certificates to local businesses, valued at more than $250. Up to 400 participants will be sent their $15 physical or digital gift card by Dec. 31. Entry is limited to one per participant.
