MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 21, 2025) The Lake Street Council is hosting its second-ever Lake Street Mural Day in Minneapolis on Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will feature both independent and guided mural tours, mural-themed games, and more among 20+ vendors at the Midtown Farmers Market at 2225 East Lake Street.

The Lake Street corridor is home to more than 100 murals created by local, national and international artists. Thirty-four new murals by 30 artists were added to a 30-block stretch earlier this year as a part of the Lake Street Lift Mural Bonanza, with each one reflecting the diverse history, culture and resilience of the corridor. The Mural Bonanza was one of the largest concentrated mural projects in the nation, spanning over 25,000 square feet – equivalent to around five and a half basketball courts.

On Oct. 25, Mural Day attendees can explore the new murals and meet their artists by taking either independent or guided tours. Guided tours will be given at 10 a.m. and noon. Free guided tour tickets are available here. Free Metro Transit passes are also available.

The Lake Street Council has funded more than 50 murals, sculptures and temporary art installations since 2020. Its public art and community activation program aims to foster economic vitality, bring a sense of belonging and amplify Lake Street’s vibrancy.
