The Lake Street Council is hosting its second-ever Lake Street Mural Day in Minneapolis on Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will feature both independent and guided mural tours, mural-themed games, and more among 20+ vendors at the Midtown Farmers Market at 2225 East Lake Street.

The Lake Street Lift Mural Bonanza, a major public art initiative organized by the Lake Street Council, is bringing 34 new murals by 30 artists to the East Lake St. corridor in Minneapolis this month. Work has officially begun on the murals and will be completed by the end of June across a 30-block stretch of East Lake St.

The Lake Street Council, together with the Graves Foundation, today announced the spring kickoff event of its Lake Street Lift initiative to support the corridor. The $8 million initiative funds both Lake Street-wide projects and targeted assistance to local businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs and developers to cultivate a more vibrant, safe and flourishing Lake Street.
Interactive Lake Street Art Drop series to return in April with expanded season
The Lake Street Council is bringing back its popular Lake Street Art Drop series that encourages visitors to explore Lake Street, discover local artists and support small businesses along the commercial corridor. Following the program’s 2023 launch, the monthly event will return on Thursday, April 4, to kick off another interactive season filled with fun and local art.
