I.C.E Out of Minnesota: Day of Truth & Freedom

A collective effort is calling for a statewide strike of non-violent moral action against I.C.E. actions in Minnesota on Friday, January 23rd. The strike calls for no work, no school, no shopping or spending money. There will be a peaceful march and rally in downtown Minneapolis at 2:00 pm.

Businesses and non-profits are encouraged to make their decision in consideration of their employees and clients. Many businesses that have been open will be closed on Friday, January 23rd, all day. Many businesses are opting for reduced hours, closing at 2:00 pm or reopening after the downtown Minneapolis march and rally.

The Lake Street Council will remain open until 2:00 pm to continue its mission of supporting small businesses and nonprofits, and is encouraging customers to support businesses after the strike day.
