Lake & Nicollet Intersection has Reopened

The temporary construction at Lake & Nicollet is nearing completion, and Lake Street has reopened to cars, traffic, and pedestrians. The intersection had closed in early July for utility work related to the upcoming New Nicollet road construction project on the former K-mart site.

A temporary lane reduction until late August to allow crews to complete curb work on the north side of the intersection. If you are traveling through the area, expect occasional delays for the next week or two. No additional road closures on Lake Street at Nicollet are anticipated for the remainder of 2025 or 2026.
