Hennepin County is offering $400,000 in grants to help businesses and nonprofits reduce waste and cut costs through reuse, repair, food waste prevention, and replacing disposables with reusable.

Transitioning from single-use plastics can improve operations and increase sustainability. MNimize provides food service businesses with practical alternatives like recyclable, compostable, or reusable items. Take advantage of a $1,000 MNimize rebate to offset your transition costs.

Businesses and nonprofits in Hennepin County can now partner with Waste Wise to access free technical assistance and grants for recycling and organic recycling bins.

The Lake Street Council, in partnership with several other Twin Cities organizations, is currently applying for a grant from the US Department of Energy called the Buildings Upgrade Prize.
