The temporary construction at Lake & Nicollet is nearing completion, and Lake Street has reopened to cars, traffic, and pedestrians. The intersection had closed in early July for utility work related to the upcoming New Nicollet road construction project on the former K-mart site.

Lake St & Nicollet Ave Intersection Closed
As part of the Nicollet Ave Construction project, utility work is being done in the intersection of Lake St and Nicollet Ave. This work is planned to begin the week of July 7 and will result in the intersection being closed for up to 6 weeks to vehicle traffic. The sidewalk will also be closed on the north side of Lake St at the Nicollet intersection but will remain open on the south side.
The METRO B Line is Now Open!
The B Line is a new, fast, and easy way to explore Lake Street and see all that Lake has to offer! This high-frequency bus line replaces the 21 bus and travels the length of Lake Street, stopping every few blocks at major intersections.
