Hennepin County is offering Business Recycling Grants to help organizations reduce waste while saving money.
Waste Wise Available to Support in Hennepin County Now
Businesses and nonprofits in Hennepin County can partner with Waste Wise to access grants for recycling and organic recycling bins and other waste reduction projects. Recycling rates increase dramatically when there is a recycling bin placed next to every trash can. Taking the time to make these changes is worth it since commercial organizations pay a 38.5% tax on waste in Hennepin County, but recycling and organic recycling are tax free.
MN Promise Act West Lake Expansion
Phase 1 of the MN Promise Act Grant applications closed on June 30th. Phase 2 will expand the eligible boundaries and is expected to open in August or September of this year.
